In Memory of Joseph W. LaChance (1945–2026)

Founder of Madawaska Four Corners Park

Madawaska Four Corners Park honors the life and legacy of Joseph “Joe” LaChance, who passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 80. A proud community leader, entrepreneur, and longtime resident of Madawaska, Joe was the visionary founder and president of Four Corners Park.

For nearly four decades, Joe worked at Twin Rivers while also dedicating himself to strengthening the local community. He was deeply passionate about promoting Madawaska and supporting its businesses, leaving a lasting impact that continues to shape the park and the region today.

Joe will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit, and his unwavering commitment to the town he cherished.

To honor Joe’s legacy and continue his vision, donations may be made to Madawaska Four Corners Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at the park at a later date

Support the Park

If you have visited the park, you understand. Lots of time maintaining, beautifying, and keeping the ground clean is necessary to keep the park looking like it is. Every year we are proud to dress up the park with colorful flowers and informative information throughout the park, but all that costs money. As a non-profit organization registered as a 501 (c) (3), we must rely on donations and public support to stay afloat.

The Madawaska Four Corners Park needs your help. Small or large, all donations will be greatly appreciated. If you enjoyed your visit and loved what you saw and experienced, please donate to keep the park beautiful! Additionally, feel free to purchase a souvenir from our online store!
